SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) - Seven people are being taken to hospitals after a car collided with a Montgomery County school bus in the Aspen Hill area.
County fire department spokesman Capt. Oscar Garcia says the crash was reported about 3:30 p.m. Friday at Layhill and Norbeck roads. Garcia says it was a front-end crash between a four-door Toyota Corolla and the bus.
Two people from the car have serious but not life-threatening injuries. They are being taken to a trauma center.
Three children ages 7 to 10 years old from the bus are being taken to a hospital for evaluations, but there are no obvious injuries. The bus driver and a bus attendant also are being checked at a hospital for any injuries.
